Apostille Is Not a Correction Step

Apostille authenticates a public document for use in countries that accept apostilled documents. It does not correct a wrong spelling, add a missing child name or repair an old certificate. If the source certificate has a problem, the problem should be reviewed before apostille begins.

When Birth Certificates Are Apostilled

Birth certificates are commonly apostilled for immigration, overseas education, citizenship, family visa, marriage abroad, dependent visa and foreign civil-registration purposes. The receiving authority may also ask for certified translation, notarisation or a fresh digitally verifiable copy.

How Enuncia Global Helps

We help clients review the certificate, check obvious name and parent-name issues, plan whether translation is needed, and coordinate apostille support where the document and destination requirement fit that route.

What to Share Before We Review the File

  • Clear scan or photo of the birth certificate, if available.
  • Purpose of use: school, passport, visa, immigration, embassy, apostille, attestation, correction, name addition or delayed registration.
  • Relevant supporting documents such as Aadhaar, passport, school record, hospital record, parent ID, address proof, affidavit or previous municipal copy.
  • Destination country or receiving authority instruction, if the document will be used abroad.
Important disclaimer: Enuncia Global is not a government authority and does not issue, correct or approve birth certificates. We provide documentation support, certified translation, apostille/attestation coordination and professional facilitation. Final decisions rest with the competent authority.

FAQs

Should translation happen before or after apostille?

The answer depends on the destination authority. Some ask for the original apostilled document, some ask for a certified translation, and some need both in a specific sequence.

Can every birth certificate be processed through an online route?

No. Older records, unclear certificates, non-integrated authorities and documents with errors may require additional review.

Need help preparing a birth certificate file?

Start with a document-readiness consultation. Enuncia Global can review the issue, organise the checklist, and help you plan translation, apostille, MEA attestation, embassy attestation or professional support where required.
